Draft, 31 October 2026; a legal review is planned.
Terms of use
These terms apply to NoteFly's online polishing service at notefly.co.za. By signing in to it from NoteFly you accept them.
Who may use it
The service is for people Carl Frankenfeld invites. Your access code and your signed-in devices are for you alone. Access may be changed or withdrawn at any time, for example by disabling your account.
Your responsibilities
- Recording. You are responsible for having the right to record each conversation you polish, including any consent the law or your organisation requires from the other people in it.
- Sharing. You are responsible for having the right to share the transcript with this service, and through it with the processors named in the privacy notice.
- Checking. Documents are written by an AI model from a speech-recognition transcript. They can contain mistakes: misheard words, wrong speakers, missing or invented details. NoteFly flags some facts it could not find in the transcript, but it cannot catch everything. Check every document before you rely on it or send it to anyone.
- Fair use. Don't use the service for anything unlawful, to harm anyone, or to try to get around its limits or security.
Limits
Each user has a daily number of documents, and the service has an overall daily limit. When a limit is reached, NoteFly tells you when you can polish again.
Your content
Your transcripts and documents remain yours. The service uses them only to write the document you ask for, and erases them as described in the privacy notice.
As is
The service is provided free of charge to invited users, as it is and as available, without any warranty. It may be changed, interrupted or stopped. To the extent the law allows, Carl Frankenfeld is not liable for any loss arising from its use, including from errors in documents.
